Snyder Family Farm is a family owned and operated regenerative sustainable farm. We raise cows, chickens, eggs, turkeys, pigs, and sheep. All our animals are free from antibiotics, hormones, GMOs and chemicals. We believe in and use ethical practices whilst blending an old world mentality with modern methods to meet the local food needs of today's communities — while supporting environmental stewardship.
Our Practices
Our commitment is to provide you with the most delicious and nutritionally dense meats while healing our soils and improving the environment. We use rotational grazing and the natural traits of the animals to heal the land and sequester carbon while affording the animals the best quality of life possible. Our belief is that an animal should only have one bad day.

Before becoming a full time farmer, our founder Jeremy Snyder worked in the corporate world as an insurance agent. But, this left him yearning for something more than the standard 9-5 job and concurrent "rat race" he felt he was in. He missed the feeling of a hard days work, and the satisfaction that came from working in and with nature. So... as a family we took a leap, and Jeremy traded in the corporate ladder for a tractor! After nearly a decade as a hobby to provide chicken and eggs for their family and close friends, Snyder Family Farm became a full- time adventure in 2017 to meet the local food and land sustainability needs of our Central Virginia community.
