Grass Fed

Grass Fed and Finished is lifestyle and a commitment to not only an animals natural design but to healing our soils and the environment. We stand committed to providing the healthiest and happiest lives possible for all of our animals which provides you the most delicious and nutritionally dense meats. Our cows are moved daily onto fresh ground and forages never being allowed to graze too much in one area, allowing them to have a fresh “Salad Bar” everyday, only eating the most nutritious parts of the forages and leaving a healthy plant behind to rest and regrow. This creates an amazing method of healing the land with abundant research showing this type of grazing providing a negative carbon footprint.

 

Silvopasture

Silvopasture is the practice of integrating trees, forage, and the grazing of livestock in a mutually beneficial way. By utilizing managed grazing we provide natural benefits to all of our animals and the environment. We encourage animals to enjoy the cool of the shade in the summer and shelter from the cold in the winter among a light forest canopy. Pigs enjoy harvesting nuts from the ground in the fall then reseed the area for us without having to use petroleum or tractors. We can then graze the cows back through in the heat of the summer to harvest what the pigs planted for us. The whole process reduces our footprint, works with nature, and promotes very happy animals. Silvopasture is one of the oldest known forms of agriculture, and has been practiced in many parts of the world for centuries.
